MEDIA RELEASE May 29, 2020

Re-opening of Tla’amin Playgrounds

Use of all equipment will remain at the user’s own risk.

Re-opening on June 01. Signage will be posted to remind users to practice physical distancing and to sanitize your hands and children’s hands before and after using. If there are others using the playground when you arrive, please wait your turn or come back later. Your supervision is highly recommended to ensure physical distancing. We can not afford to let our guards down.

Although the risk of COVID-19 transmission in outdoor recreation environments is not as high as it is indoors, the risk of transmission still exists. We can safely operate our playgrounds by following the safety measures on the signage.

Tla’amin is carefully monitoring the COVID-19 situation. It is an evolving situation, and we will respond to changes based upon orders and advice from public health officials. It is imperative that we keep the health and safety of everyone a top priority.
