EMERGENCY COOLING CENTRE RE-OPEN
t̓išosəm – Due to the heat warning that has been released for the region, the Tla’amin Nation Cooling Centre will be open once again at the Salish Centre.
The purpose of the Emergency Cooling Centre is to help people cool off from the extreme heat. There will be bottled water on hand, and a place to sit. Physical distancing, masks, and cleaning protocols are still in place. It is encouraged that Nation members bring their own snacks or food if they want to eat during their time at the Cooling Centre.
The Cooling Centre is open from 11AM to 7PM from August 12 to August 14.
If you have mobility issues, please contact Tla’amin Health for assistance to transport you to the Cooling Centre.

The extreme heat period is expected to end on Sun, August 15th. Tla’amin Nation will continue to update its members should there be any changes.
