Notice is hereby given that the Tla’amin Nation has called an Election for October 17, 2020, in accordance with the Tla’amin Nation Election Law (TNL04|2016) for the purpose of eligible Voters electing the Office of Hegus (1 position) and Legislative Assembly (8) Positions for the ensuing term of the Legislature.

4885 HIGHWAY 101, TLA’AMIN, POWELL RIVER, B.C.

Due to COVID-19 and guidelines around social distancing, we require you to adhere to the following precautions at the election to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19:

1.Wash or sanitize your hands upon entering the Salish Centre.2.Please wear a mask. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided to you.3.Maintain social distance between people and remain six (6) feet apart. Please followthe arrows on the floor. There will be five (5) voting stations and spaces for five (5)voters to wait inside the centre. If there is not an available green “X” for you tostand on, please wait to enter the centre until there is an empty space.4.Electors are encouraged to bring their own pen or a sanitized pen will be provided.5.Exit the Salish Centre as soon as you have completed your vote.6.The count will be livestreamed after the close of polls at 8:00PM to limit the numberof people in attendance.
AND TAKE NOTICE: that Electors may vote in person at a polling station or electronically until 8:00pm on Saturday October 17th.
