Tla’amin Management Services LP is currently seeking a disciplined leader to steward a multi-disciplinary operations portfolio of Retail, Rooms, Food & Beverage, Marina, and Property Management at The Village at Klah ah men’s Hotel & Marina located in the destination village of Lund, BC.

The desired candidate will have demonstrated experience in creating a culture that exemplifies:

In alignment with the CEO’s strategic plans:
• articulate a clear vision and mission of The Village at Klah-ah-men and the strategic priorities to be addressed over the next 3 – 5 years
• develop a practical operational plan consistent with achieving the mission, vision and strategic priorities of The Village at Klah-ah-men
• communicate clear strategic and operational priorities to the CEO, employees and other relevant stakeholders
• create a high performing culture at The Village at Klah-ah-men including strong employee morale, accountability and cohesiveness
• support and lead an operations team of several direct reports

• take on a leadership role developing strategy with the CEO, with insights that lead to clear vision, mission & strategic priorities for The Village at Klah-ah-men
• accurately identify, analyze risks & opportunities The Village at Klah-ah-men faces. He/she develops strategies to mitigate risks while pursuing mission aligned opportunities
• accurately identify key criteria to benchmark & measure the business’ strategic performance
• ensure business ownership of the strategic plan by involving Managers, employees and other stakeholders in its formulation
• standardize performance optimization processes to measure operating progress against committed plans & priorities
• sound decisions are made for effective execution of initiatives with timely adjustments in strategies & tactics when required
• effectively provide oversight on priorities and ensure accountability at all levels
• ensure that the operations of Lund Resort comply with all legal & regulatory requirements; government, local, health, safety, labour and environmental

• demonstrate a detailed understanding of The Village at Klah-ah-men finances and exercises good judgement while operating within budget
• adopt and implement sound accounting practices to provide timely, accurate financial data for oversight and planning related to daily operations and capital projects
• comment on financial results to the CEO and CFO in a timely, accurate fashion
• ensure that the accounting meets professional standards of approval and meets external auditor requirements

• design and implement strategies to ensure and measure guest satisfaction; evidence of analysis of feedback and corrective action is in place
• create a brand identity that is consistent and compliments the values of Tla’amin Nation and its people
• ensure that Standard Operating Procedures exist for each department, in alliance with required The Village at Klah-ah-men Policies & Procedures; and that its employees have knowledge and understanding of their roles and responsibilities in the delivery of them
• manages and maintains hotel property; infrastructure, equipment, inventories and other facilities efficiently

• consistently communicate effectively on plans and performance with the CEO, employees, customers, suppliers and stakeholders
• ensure that public relations issues are handled in a professional manner that builds trust and alleviates concerns
• lead The Village at Klah-ah-men efforts to develop positive relationships in the industry of business and the community

• create a culture that motivates employees to carry out & achieve The Village at Klah-ah-men mission, strategic & operating goals
• implement sound performance management processes that ensure everyone in the business is accountable and supported in the execution of their roles
• recruit, develop and retain a highly competent management team with the skills, energy & passion to turn The Village at Klah-ah-men mission and vision into a reality
• develop a recruiting strategy to organize, plan, and meet staff demands for high season operations and/or high turnover

• demonstrate a sense of passion and urgency about our work
• demonstrate high standards of ethical conduct and aligns with the Nation’s values
• treat board members, colleagues, employees and partners with respect
• act in the best interests of the Tla’amin Nation and avoids any real, potential or perceived conflicts of interest

Post-secondary education in business management or similar related education and experience profile, with extensive experience in multi-unit operations leadership and team development.
