Job description:
Tla’amin Lake Contracting LP (TLC) is seeking an experienced Hooktender Operator to join our team in the qathet Region. You will be responsible for the safe operations of grapple yard hook tending. This role requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, understands industrial transport regulations and is a collaborative team player.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grapple yarding operations including planning and rigging.
- Performing daily maintenance of assigned equipment (including checking engine oil, fuel, etc.)
- Ensuring equipment has enough fuel to complete the tasks.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Attending safety training and site meetings.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of landing areas and logging sites.
- Necessary paperwork and electronic timecards.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License.
- Minimum 4 years of logging equipment experience.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in forestry operations.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to full-time, long-term employment.
