t̓išosəm— Following a competitive process, Tla’amin Nation is pleased to announce that Scott Taylor has been appointed Chief Administrative Officer, effective August 11th, 2026.
Scott has spent nearly five years with the Nation, most recently serving as Chief Financial Officer after roles as Director of Finance and Controller. Before joining Tla’amin, he spent over two decades in senior finance roles in the investment industry, including as Chief Financial Officer of Union Securities Ltd. and Manager of Fund Reporting at Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group.
“Scott is a calm, relational leader who has overseen the Nation’s financial policies and reporting, managed cash flow and investment portfolios, and worked closely with the Finance Committee and Executive Council on budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial planning,” said hegus John Hackett. “This experience gives Scott a foundational understanding of the Nation’s finances at a time when governance, economic development, and the settlement trust all need to be managed as one connected system.”
Scott holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia and is a Chartered Professional Accountant. He will continue working closely with Nation leadership, staff, and community members as he transitions into the CAO role.
Taylor said of his appointment: “It has been the greatest privilege of my professional career to serve, learn from and collaborate with the staff, management and leadership of Tla’amin Nation. I look forward to taking on these new responsibilities in a time of change and opportunity for the Nation.”
