
Order of the Executive Council of the Tla’amin Nation

WHEREAS in response to COVID-19 confirmed cases, the Tla’amin Nation Executive Council executed an extension of a 72 hour Shelter in Place order of the community, to expire Thursday, September 17 at 5 pm;
WHEREAS the Emergency Operations Centre group met on September 17, 2020 and recommended to Tla’amin Nation Executive Council that the Shelter in Place not be re-executed and continue to expire on September 17, 2020 at 5 pm.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Tla’amin Nation Executive Council hereby approves allowing the Shelter in Place order to lapse effective Thursday, September 17 at 5 pm, with the following stipulations in place:
1) The curfew of 9 pm to 6 am remain in effect;
2) Non-residents are not granted access into the Nation with the exception of established contractors and delivery companies;
3) One point of entry and one point of exit to the community be designated; and,
4) Members continue to self-isolate if they are not feeling well, practice physical distancing and always wear masks when in public.
